CHECK OUT OUR 2014 SUMMER HIGHLIGHT SLIDESHOW!
Camp Watitoh in Becket Massachusetts, high in the Berkshires, is a spirited traditional overnight summer camp which is a special summer place for boys and girls. Established in 1937, and owned and directed by the Hoch Family since 1960, Watitoh is an overnight camp for children, ages 7-16, who like to take part in an active program of land and water sports, creative and performing arts and outdoor hiking and camping. The close friendships that are made, the opportunity to gain confidence and to try new things all make for a cherished lifelong personal growth experience.
Situated in the heart of New England's summer cultural haven, Watitoh is three hours north of New York City, two hours west of greater Boston, and an hour from Albany, New York and from Bradley Airport serving the Springfield MA/Hartford, CT metro area.
There are separate campus areas for boys and girls, each guided and supervised by a dedicated counselor staff. Many of our staff have been at the camp for continual summers. Head Counselors and leadership staff are teachers and coaches, and are able to offer our campers an inspired skills program. All counselors are selected for their qualities of high personal example, experience working with children, and enthusiasm for the outdoors and camp life.
The camp can be visited year-round, and the Directors are happy to arrange a personal home visit with any interested families. We welcome you to view our story, to see all the exciting activities Watitoh has to offer, and to become part of our camp family.
